Christie Park Community
The scenic, upscale community that is Christie Park first began development in the 1980s, but didn’t become a residential area until 1990. Its most striking feature is the plateau on which it sits, which overlooks – and highlights the beauty – of Downtown Calgary. Originally belonging to the Municipal District of Rockyview, the land was annexed in 1956.
Christie Park also overlooks the Bow and Elbow River Valleys, thanks to its prime position atop the hill. This spectacular scenic view has contributed to the luxury feel of the environment which is reflected in the pricing of homes, most of which are above average. Although you will find a few homes within the region of $350,000, you will also find others around the $1m mark.
